Why choose the Russian Travel Company?
We take pride in the quality service we provide for our clients. It is our
priority that your holiday runs smoothly, from planning to conclusion. Our
professional reservations team will assist with all pre-departure
information and our experienced, English-speaking representatives in Russia
are always on hand to assist, should you need them. Because we are a
relatively small company we are able to offer an unrivalled specialist
service catering for your particular individual or group requirements. Our
expertise in Russian travel ensures that all our clients benefit from our
experience and professionalism, but equally you will appreciate our personal
and friendly approach to your holiday.
Why do I need to send my passport to the Russian Travel Company?
For travel to Russia it is essential that you have a valid visa. To travel
on a tourist visa you will also need a letter of invitation from a
government-registered hotel in Russia. We are able to obtain the invitation
and make your visa application for you, but the embassy will need your
passport to issue the visa. We recommend that you submit your passport
(together with three passport photos, completed visa application form and a
copy of proof of medical insurance) at least three weeks before departure.
(The embassy is unable to process visa applications more than three months
in advance).
What are the hotels like?
Russian hotels have improved beyond all recognition in the last few years.
Standards of food and facilities are rising as the number of tourists
increases and you will be pleasantly surprised by the welcome you receive.
Our three star hotels all offer great value for money and central locations.
They are often described as "Soviet style", meaning they are generally large
and sometimes impersonal - but they add something unique to a Russian travel
experience. The four star accommodation is more western, with all the
facilities you would expect at home, whilst the five star hotels offer
luxury rooms and amenities and are equal to any international top quality
hotel.
Is my holiday secure?
The Russian Travel Company is a member of the Travel Trust Association
(TTA). All our clients are protected by the TTA Protection Plan, which
covers every service you book with us, whether it be for transport,
accommodation, entertainment or recreation. All monies paid to RTC are
placed in a trust account and no money can be removed from the account
(except for insurance and flight premiums) until you return. All RTC clients
are covered by the "Safe Seat Plan" and the TTA is able to offer all clients
a 100% rapid refund, immediate repatriation or continuation of their tour
should any of its members cease trading. All monies paid to RTC for flights
are immediately protected by the ATOL holders bond. So you can rest assured
that your money and travel arrangements are in safe hands.
